Dear Members,

We have an exciting weekend outing planned at Klein Tafelberg Training & Adventure Centre in Redelinghuys!

Guests can enjoy wide-open spaces, spectacular scenery, and peaceful surroundings, giving them the chance to recharge and reconnect with nature. There are a number of activities available on the farm: paintball, hiking, mountain climbing, shooting range, stargazing, etc., but we will, of course, be driving their famous 4×4 trail!

The Klein Tafelberg 4×4 trail is a must-try for adventure lovers: this scenic, circular route spans 12–20 km and combines sandy tracks with rocky obstacles, offering a challenge for every skill level. Along the way, you can stop at the off-grid campsite on top of the mountain for a picnic and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Sandveld.

The campsite has plenty of space, and each level stand includes power & water points, shared ablutions, braai drum, and plenty of space for tents and caravans 

Venue: Klein Tafelberg Training & Adventure Centre 

Date: Friday 19th - Sunday 21st June 2026

Directions (from CPT):

• Via the R27 or the N7 towards Redelinghuys

• or use Google Maps

Accommodation:

• Campsite: R400 per campsite

  • Max One vehicle/4 persons

• Chalets: Yes, book & pay directly with the farm

Trail:

• R300 per vehicle (please bring cash)

Plan:

• Friday: Drive up on Friday afternoon at your leisure, the usual communal braai at 6pm at the boma.

  • Alternatively, you can drive up on Saturday morning, but please make sure that you arrive before 10am if you want to drive the trail.

• Saturday: Drivers meeting at 10:00, after which we will drive the trail(s). We will round off the day with a braai at the boma.

• Sunday: Break camp and make your way home at your leisure.

RSVP: 

• First Come, First Served

• Only a completed Recon Form & Proof of Payment sent to outingspayments@clrc.co.za will constitute a valid booking request

• All vehicles must bring at least ONE bag of wood

• NO LATER THAN Friday, 29th May 2026

Important Notes:

• Only fully paid up members of the club will be allowed to participate in this event.

• Vehicles taking part must be fitted with appropriate recovery points (front and rear).

• Recovery Gear, including Recovery strap, Tyre repair kit, & Compressor.

• Please do not litter: take all cigarette stompies and packaging, etc, away with you.

• No dogs or quad bikes allowed!
